All drawing workshops and courses introduce the basics using pencil, charcoal and other drawing media.  First of all I encourage everyone to experiment with exciting mark making. Use different drawing media to create light, tone, depth and texture. Employ various techniques such as thickness of line, shade and composition. Competently produce a range of sketches and in depth studies. Finally, explore the techniques of the great artists such as Rembrandt, Frink and Picasso.

Develop your creativity through the process of drawing.

The workshops and courses are designed to introduce different subject matter. Still life, landscape and portraiture certainly feature. Above all various techniques are explored. A practical day introducing some interesting techniques. Such as drawing with charcoal and using the rubber to reveal the lightest tones. Also included – contour drawing, extending the pencil, drawing with two pencils and marker pen.
