Drawing – explore the techniques of the great artists Rembrandt, Elizabeth Frink, Henry Moore, Henri Matisse, Maggie Hambling and Moira Huntly to name a few. Experiment with exciting mark making.

Printmaking – learn the different methods and techniques of Mono, Drypoint, Collagraph, Lino and Etching. Some well known artists who have used various print techniques are Edvard Munch, Mary Frank, William Blake, John Ross, Clare Romano, Pablo Picasso, Richard basil Mock, Palle Nielsen, J.A.M. Whistler, Mary Cassatt and Helen Taylor.

Painting – from still life to painting ‘en plein air’* *painting out in the open directly from the subject be it landscape or people. Learn to mix colours and employ different techniques. Also learn to create light, tone, depth and texture. Probably some of the most famous artists who have employed the method of working ‘en plein air’ are J.M.W Turner, Laura Knight and Lucy Kemp-Welch.

Informal art courses and one day workshops either one to one or small groups. Daytime and Evening sessions also available.

Kay is also available for art talks, lectures, drawing and printing demonstrations. She can offer bespoke presentations for educational establishments, clubs, societies and business clients.
